Dartmoor has been worked for centuries for many different reasons. Built upon and shaped by both forces of nature from the environment to the wildlife & stock which graze upon it. Here we see remnants of anthropogenic workings & land use abandoned in time but still amazing to wonder upon. From the Heavy Iron sluice fixtures, the sandbags cemented in time and in the background the arches of the ancient bridge. These surely have many stories to tell.
